What is the difference from this year’s camps and last year’s camps?
For 2008 the Butler men and women’s soccer programs will be running separate camps and only the Butler Boys Soccer Camp will be affifliated with the men’s coaching staff.  The camp will be the same great quality camp as it has been with many similarities, including the 4v4 tournament, the ladder competitions etc. The camps at Butler are for boys only while the camp at NUSC which is boys and girls.
 
Do you have a new curriculum each year?
Yes, we change the way we train the basic principles of soccer each year to enhance the learning and fun of camp.  We are adding the SKILL CHALLENGE this year which will provide more opportunities to win some great prizes, develop the campers skills and have fun.
 
What are the pick up and drop off times for camp?
Monday - Registration is from 8-9am pick up is at 3pm
Tuesday-Thursday - 9am-3pm Staff will be at the fields by 8:15 for drop off and come early to watch them play.
Friday - 9am-12 We will have the 4v4 tournament at 11am and a closing ceremony at 11:45
 
Will the campers be able to swim?
YES.  We will swim twice during the week.  Campers should bring there swimsuits, towel, goggles and sandals or shoes for the walk to the pool.  No pool toys please.
 
Who makes up the Camp staff?
The camp will be directed and coached by the BUTLER UNIVERSITY MEN’S SOCCER COACHING STAFF, they will be assisted by current and past Butler University men’s and women’s soccer players, youth club and college coaches from around the area.
 
Will there be Goalkeeper Training?
We are very excited about our partnership with INDIANA GOALKEEPING ACADEMY, directed by Miles Glynn, which allows us to offer specialized goalkeeper training at each camp session by expert goalkeeping coaches and trainers.
We believe goalkeepers develop best with a blend of specialized training in goalkeeping fundamentals and game experience.  For information about IGA please visit their website www.igasoccer.com
 
Are there any team discounts?
We have a team discount of $10 per player for full day camp. There must be at least 10 players registered as a team/group. We prefer to have all registrations mailed in together but if you are registering online be sure to include team name and have the manager contact us to ensure you receive the proper discount. There is no discount for Elite Camp.

How are the campers grouped?
Initially campers will be grouped according to age. After evaluation by their coach and if necessary, campers will be re-grouped according to skill level.

Do you provide an athletic trainer?
A camp athletic trainer will be present during all camp sessions. Please make the trainer aware of any medicine or medical conditions of all campers.
 
Do you provide lunch?
Campers must bring their own lunch. Pizza slices will also be available for purchase. Drinks and snacks will be sold separately through the concession stand.
 
Should the campers have money?
A camp bank will be set up at registration for campers wishing to have spending money during the week at the concession stand for drinks and snacks. We will have bank cards will be available to minimize the handling of money by campers.

Camp store
There will be lots of Butler game jerseys, balls, T-shirts, souvenirs and NIKE gear.

What do you do if there is inclement weather?
We will have limited access to the Tennis Bubble. In the case of lightning, we will move all campers indoors.
